Camellias in Bloom...
Here are some new photos of the camellias in our garden taken recently. The light pink variety above is a "Debutante Camellia". It blooms early in the winter and fills the yard with gorgeous tissue-paper-like blossoms and is a good choice for a splash of delicate color in the cool winter months. The brighter pink one below is an old, tried and true flower I call the "supercamellia". I have no idea what kind it is, but it is virtually indestructible! It lived in a cracked blue pot for the first few years of our marriage and has been sunburned, windburned, nearly drowned, snail-infested, moved to practically every location in the yard, and still it survives and brings forth these lush gorgeous flowers every February.
