Still Life: Apples

Time for some new art to share as I have been busy painting something other than florals during these hot summer days!  Although I will make more flower pieces, I was in the mood to vary a bit, so why not?  Since one of the joys of the season is fresh local produce, painting still life images of apples and other seasonal fruits and vegetables is appealing.  These apples are organic and were particularly fun to paint due to their spotty, unpolished skin and vibrant color.

Have a wonderful week!
