Vintage Flower Frog Collection

Flower frogs are used at the base of a vase to secure stems of fresh flowers when making an arrangement.  Available in various shapes and sizes, they can be made of lead, pottery, glass, metal or acrylic and can be found at antique stores, flower shops, flea markets or on Etsy.  This unique assortment of frogs belongs to a friend of mine who has been collecting them for years.  Aren't they fascinating?  I especially like the turtle shaped frog.

A short video clip about flower frogs from The Martha Stewart Show explains how different kinds of frogs can be used to make arrangements.  See the following link to visit the video.
