A Visit to Southern California...

The unique beauty of Southern California is found in its mixture of exotic plants and trees, ocean views and wildlife.  We recently visited the San Diego area and I captured these images on our journey.  Orange clivia flowers, shown above, were common throughout the area and happened to be blooming during our stay.    

Many varieties of palm trees were also prolific in the region.  The photo above was taken on Coronado Island, where gardens of palm trees and bird of paradise flowers adorned the landscape.

Many sailboats circled in the water near Coronado Island, but I found this one most interesting for its solitary position near the shore.  

In lovely La Jolla rocky cliffs surrounded breaking waves and rough waters.  The adorable sea lions we saw basking in the sun were a main attraction.  I think one of them smiled at me...
